Who joins Fish to Water?

Fish to Water is a club for people who know you don't need to drink to have a good time plus those who don't know it yet, but fancy giving it a try.

Our members tend to be:

• People who feel they have had one too many alcohol-fuelled nights and want to try a different way of socialising
• Busy people with no time for hangovers who want to socialise without feeling pressured to drink
• People who are taking a break from drinking and are exploring another lifestyle - perhaps with a bit of trepidation
• People who have made the decision not to drink again who want to fill their sober life with new ideas and people

How do I join and how much does it cost?

It is very easy to join Fish to Water - all you need to do is follow the simple and secure registration process in the "Join Up" section of the website. We aim to grow our community in a "grass roots" way, so for a limited time it is absolutely free to become a member of Fish to Water.

We will be introducing membership fees during 2009, which we anticipate to be no more than a cost of a round of drinks. Of course, we will give you ample notice before subscriptions are introduced.

How do I find out about forthcoming outings, activities and events?

You will receive regular email invitations to outings and events of the types you select at registration.

However, the best way to make sure you are always up-to-date with what's happening is to regularly check the "Calendar of Events".

How do I book an event?

Click on the event of interest on the "Calendar of Events" and you will be guided through the simple online booking system.

What happens if I find I can't make an event after I've booked it?

Bookings can be cancelled and we will do our best to fill your place. Please read our full Cancellation Policy here.

I'm nervous about coming alone to my first event...

Getting involved with something for the first time is always a bit nerve-wracking so as a new member, we suggest you arrive in good time and make contact with your host. Our hosts are chosen by FTW to welcome you on arrival, put you at ease and introduce you to the other members of the group.

Can I bring a guest?

For each event, there will be a certain allocation of guest places. If you do want to bring a non-member along, make sure you book early.

How will I find the group?

When you book an event, you will be emailed clear meet up instructions, your host's contact details and a Fish to Water sign will be easily visible at the location.
